‘The Amazing Race 28’ episode 8 video: Sharks and water slides in Dubai

Friday night’s new episode of “The Amazing Race” is getting ever closer to arriving, and just from the angle of extreme tasks, there is a heck of a lot to like from this leg.

After all, we’re in Dubai! If there was ever a representative place for wealth in the Middle East, this is it. It’s the perfect cross-section of local culture and modern-day business and technology, and it’s stuffed full of ways for rich people to have fun. Take, for example, insane water slides … or swimming around with sharks for some reason. Remember: While these certainly look scary in the promo below, these are actually things that many people out there strictly do because they want to.

The only thing in this promo that probably qualifies for something that few people would ever actually want to do in their spare time is race a camel, but at the same time we don’t know why anyone would think that this is a particularly great idea, mostly because A) camels can be fast when they want to and B) it’s REALLY hot out there. It’s so hot that you can get exhausted in the blink of an eye, and the original promo that aired after Friday night’s new episode suggested that this could especially be the fate of Brodie & Kurt, who are going to be doing almost everything that they can to keep momentum going. After all, they are the long-established favorites to go far in the race at this point.
