‘UnREAL’ season 2 lands ‘Forever’ star for recurring role
Who doesn’t love Ioan Gruffudd? He was great on “Forever,” and we’re now looking forward to him being great on the upcoming second season of “UnREAL.”
According to a new report coming in from Variety, the actor (also known for his work in the “Fantastic Four” franchise prior to the Josh Trank reboot) will be playing the role of John Booth on the show, a hyper-intelligent and sharp tech billionaire who may be very good when it comes to getting what he wants … and in this case, what he wants may very well be Quinn (Constance Zimmer). Given some of her struggles in love over the course of the first season, we’d be happy for her to find someone new, provided that this said someone is not a heel.
With this John Booth character, who knows precisely what sort of a person he is going to be? There’s a part of us that of course imagines that he may have some sort of astronomical ego, thanks largely from having more money than many other people can ever hope to have in multiple lifetimes. However, that’s just a preexisting notion, and there are also plenty of people who are also extremely generous with their money. We’ll see just what happens here with him as the season goes on, since not all of it may be well-known right away.
The new season is going to be premiering on Lifetime on Monday, June 6 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. Stay tuned for further updates.
