‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 1 sneak peek shown in ‘Conan’ interview

LogoWith the sixth season of “Game of Thrones” coming to HBO on Sunday, April 24, we are basically in a situation now where almost every single snippet of video footage turns into breaking news across the entire internet. This is for the most part a direct responds to the notion that this may be one of the most secretive we’ve ever seen a network be about a show. They haven’t released a single screener in advance, and if that was not enough proof of this very thing, they also have the actors on lockdown.

So for there to be a clip of any short shown off on “Conan” was a big surprise to us, but that’s precisely what happened Thursday night as Liam Cunningham (Davos) made an appearance on the show to promote the new season. You can see the sneak peek here, but it doesn’t really give away much other than that Kit Harington did actually film for some time as a dead body.

What’s also fun in this interview is hearing that George R.R. Martin told Cunningham a major secret about the show many years ago, but it is something that he still refuses to tell. This led to a joke about HBO having snipers in the audience, which is something that we’ve admittedly seen on shows before in other forms.

Hopefully, we’ll have at least one more “Game of Thrones” clip before we get around to the season airing; be on the lookout for other news all the while.
