‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7 spoilers: Show boss on battle to find Paul Wesley’s Stefan

Friday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” has many different story threads to explore, and one of the more interesting ones is going to be sifting through the aftermath and figuring out precisely who could be responsible for trying to save Stefan Salvatore. The problem? In the wake of what happened on this past episode, nobody knows precisely where he is.

Ultimately, our one piece of advice to you is to get ready for a heck of a search, and one that could involve some rather-interesting character pairings and much more! Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview, executive producer Julie Plec had the following to say:

“Everyone’s got their own methods for looking for him. Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) ends up partnering up with Alaric (Matt Davis) and Rayna Cruz in an effort to see if they can work together to track him down. Damon’s flying solo, knowing that this is his burden and his responsibility. His unwillingness to act quickly enough to keep Stefan from getting attacked by Rayna is really why Stefan is in this situation to begin with. So he really feels like he’s got some amends to make and is working hard to get to the bottom of where his brother is and how he can help him.”
