‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: Is the Secret Warriors’ first mission upon us?

Throughout most of the buildup for season 3 of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” there have been two words in particular that have gotten many people excited, and for good reason: Secret Warriors. They are a comic-book institution, and of course there was all sorts of hype and joy when it was suggested that they could be coming aboard the show in full this season.

Since that time, though, we’ve had to wait for a wide array of other things, whether it be the Inhumans storyline catching up, the birth of Hive, or even the departure of Bobbi and Hunter, two characters who, while important to the universe, were not really a key component in what was going on with the Secret Warriors’ origin.

The good news is that this waiting seems to be over, and on the upcoming episode “The Team” airing later this season, we could see the crew almost completely in action. Want some other insight? Then don’t look any further than the official synopsis below:

“Agent Daisy Johnson must call upon the Secret Warriors for an inaugural mission that will leave no member unscathed, and S.H.I.E.L.D. learns more about Hive’s powers, forcing them to question everyone they trust.”

We certainly have a suspicion that this will be a story that puts a smile on many faces out there, but probably also make them worried, as well. Anytime that Hive is still around and inhabits any level of power, you have to assume that this leads to some serious trouble.
