‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: Megan Hilty of ‘Smash’ to guest star
As if getting Matthew Morrison on “The Good Wife” was not enough to fill your void left by TV musicals, we now bring you a little more news, as well.
According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, former “Smash” star Megan Hilty is going to be guest-starring on one of the final episodes of the series as Holly Westfall, a business rival to Diane’s husband Kurt McVeigh (Gary Cole). He decides to sell his business, and as a result of that she enters the metaphorical fray.
As you would imagine, we’re thrilled about this casting, and ironically CBS has become a new haven to former “Smash” cast members. Katharine McPhee is now one of the stars of “Scorpion” over on CBS, while at the same time Jeremy Jordan is a regular over on “Supergirl.”
New episodes of “The Good Wife” are going to be resuming a little bit later in April, and for Morrison’s Connor Fox, there is clearly one priority that he has above all others: Figuring out a way to ensure that Peter Florrick is taken down a few notches. We do not want to call him strictly a big bad since that’s not really his objective. What he is doing is justified in his head because of a pattern of wrongdoing. He is entitled to do his job, but it just impacts people we know very well.
Luckily, Alicia may be separating herself from that situation … with an emphasis on the words “may be,” since it is hard to know for certain.
