Does ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ season 10 finally have a premiere date?
If there’s one thing that we have certainly seen over the years when it comes to British networks and their television shows, it is this: They wait for as long as humanly possible for some reason to confirm their premiere dates.
For the latest example, you don’t have to look any further than “Britain’s Got Talent.” This is a show we knew would be returning at some point in April, but it is nice to finally have a specific premiere date of Saturday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. local time. The auditions are going to air for several weeks, and then we’ll get into the middle rounds before the epic series of several level shows over the course of a single week.
While we know that the whole talent competition genre has been completely overdone over the course of the past several years, there is one thing that we do contend to be very much true: We adore this show. We love the judging panel, and more so than that we love David Walliams. The man is basically exactly what every talent competition judge should be: Irreverent, funny, and all about providing great entertainment.
That’s another reason why we adore this show: More so than any other, variety is truly celebrated rather than ignored. Singers don’t always win; heck, there have been two recent champions who happened to be dog acts. That’s not something you would really see anywhere else on TV.
As per usual, you better expect all sorts of news when it comes to “BGT” in the near future. Stay tuned.
