‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: ‘Suits’ star Patrick J. Adams joining for finale, possibly more

“Legends of Tomorrow” is going to be returning to The CW with new episodes on Thursday night, but in looking beyond that for a moment, we’re here now with some news that could bring many smiles to viewers’ faces.

According to Entertainment Weekly, “Suits” star Patrick J. Adams has signed up to play a mysterious DC character for the upcoming season 1 finale, and this is a role that he could also take on again both in the season 2 premiere and some other points in the future. Given his other gig on the USA show we assume that this is not something he’ll be doing permanently, but it is a role that is being kept under a heavy veil for a reason. After all, it’s one that people out there should be more than a little familiar with.

Just getting Adams to begin with should be considered quite the coup for the CW show, given that it is not like the DC universe on the network to be able to attract well-known actors (or at least stars of other TV shows) for many of their guest spots. This gives further credence to the idea that this is something pretty cool, and something that Patrick may have been really excited to take on.

For the time being, all we can say for certain about the finale is that it airs on May 19, and that it is fittingly titled “Legendary” given everything that we’ve seen on the show to date. We’ll have some more news as it comes out.
