Ratings: ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Quantico,’ ‘Good Wife’ fall on Easter; ‘Elementary’ steady

Every Easter egg hunt, there are always some empty plastic eggs out in the field that someone forgot to fill with goodies. When using this analogy to describe Sunday night’s primetime TV ratings, it’s almost as though everyone forgot to put some goodies in those eggs. There were a LOT of empty ones on the field on this particular day.

The good news – We’re really grasping at straws here, but we’ll give a gold star to “Elementary” (0.8 in the 18-49 demographic) for at least staying solid on night compared to the previous week. Also, we just have to give the show praise in general for managing to get another season, something that we definitely did not think was going to happen going into decision time for the major networks.

The bad news – Where do we start? “Once Upon a Time” (1.0) continues to fall like a plastic egg filled with rocks in water, while “The Family” (0.6) is more or less dead and “Quantico” (0.9) keeps on falling. “The Good Wife” (0.9) has been this low before, but it’s still disappointing when you consider that the show is in its final season and you would like to see at least some sort of build now in the ratings.

In case you were wondering, what actually won the night, that honor goes to “Little Big Shots.” However, with a 1.9 rating in the demo, this show did fall more than 20% versus its most-recent installment.

One final thing: Apparently nobody cared to watch a repeat of “Grease: Live,” which only drew a 0.4. Apparently, live is the only time to watch such a show.
