‘Shades of Blue’ finale spoilers: How will story wrap up for Jennifer Lopez, cast?

While it has already been confirmed that there will be a second season of “Shades of Blue,” that doesn’t necessarily mean that the finale will be any less electric or exciting. As a matter of fact, we’re pretty sure that NBC wants you believe that the story is only going to get more intense than ever before. Lives are in the balance, Harlee has a lot to fight for, and there are going to be some more betrayals and shockers before the story comes to a close.

The promo below makes at least some of this clear, but if you are looking for some further specifics, we like to think that the synopsis below is a fairly great resource for just that:

“Unable to provide Donnie (guest star Michael Esper) and Linklater (Stephen Lang) to the FBI, Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) makes a deal with Stahl (Warren Kole) to exchange her own immunity for that of her crew. Harlee comes face to face with Miguel (guest star Antonio Jaramillo) who reveals his darkest side as he demands to be a part of Cristina’s (Sarah Jeffery) life.”

As for whether or not the finale will have some sort of concrete ending, we really do not have a clear answer to that just yet … but we really hope that it does. Given that we don’t know entirely when the second season will premiere, and the writers probably did not know it was happening at the time the show was filmed, we’d like to see most loose ends tied up … with maybe there being a tiny tease in there somewhere about the future.
