‘Legends of the Hidden Temple’ TV movie gets back original host Kirk Fogg

Legends of the Hidden Temple -

The more we hear about Nickelodeon’s upcoming “Legends of the Hidden Temple” TV movie, the more we have no clue why it is happening, and the more we feel like it is probably going to be cheesier than fondue. Yet, as a Silver Snakes enthusiast and lover of nostalgic Nick programming from the 1990’s, we’ll probably watch the heck out of it anyway, especially with the following bit of news in mind.

In a statement today, original host Kirk Fogg confirmed that he will rejoin Olmec the talking stone head and whatever other crazy ideas the network has for this project, hilariously stating the following:

“When Nickelodeon asked me to be a part of the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie, I immediately went to the closet and pulled out my blue denim shirt, which has been protected by a powerful golden force field since 1995 … Legends is truly a legend, and I’m honored to be a part of it again. I’m sure the Ancient Olmec had something to do with this; that rock head is pretty sneaky.”

There’s no real word on what sort of role Fogg is going to play in the new version, but our feeling is that it will probably be something where he is connecting to Olmec. Otherwise, what’s the point? We also still don’t fully understand why Nick isn’t just bringing the original game show back or sending a more adult version to another network, since we guarantee that people who watched the show as kids would watch a more extreme version of it.
