‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 15 review: Was Jim Gordon put into handcuffs?

Sooner or later, we knew that the ghost of Theo Galavan was going to come back to haunt Jim Gordon on “Gotham” season 2, and it turned out that an anonymous tip plus some further information was all it took to take him downtown. The reality is that this was not a situation where he was wrongfully accused of anything; he was more involved in Galavan’s death than he was keen to tell anyone. He could only lie for so long.

Once Gordon was brought in by Captain Barnes, it really didn’t take long for events to go downhill. He was found guilty, and not too long after that, he was thrown into jail and Jim decided to tell Lee Thompkins that it was better for her to move on rather than continue to detail with his various issues. Yes, this was the latest attempt by Jim to tell her what to do, and that didn’t go over well.

Oswald meets his father – Tonight, the Penguin met Elijah Van Dahl for the first time, a man who turned up to his grave and professed a few details that seemed to back up his story. There’s something that just feels off about all of this, and hopefully that’s something we’ll have a little more insight on very soon.

Bruce feels the pain – Going into Monday night’s new episode, Bruce made it clear that he wanted to embrace pain by living out on the streets with Selina. He didn’t want use his money, and he wanted to show that no one could break him. Given that he was beaten to a pulp in this episode, this was put to the test.

In the end, a really solid episode of “Gotham.” Great stuff for Gordon and Bruce when it comes to material, and Barbara seems to finally be back! It’s about time. Grade: B+.
