‘Scorpion’ season 2, episode 19 video: Tim Armstrong meets the team

For those of you who do get excited to see some more characters find their way into the world of “Scorpion,” there will be an opportunity to see just that on Monday night’s new episode entitled “Djibouti Call.”

In the sneak peek below, you get your first look at Scott Porter (“Hart of Dixie”) as Tim Armstrong, a new protegee-of-sorts for Cabe who is brought along on some sort of mission. You can see the entire team at a military base, and it takes Armstrong little to no time at all to realize that these people are a little … off. Specifically, he questions Cabe on some of his fellow team members’ behavior. Sylvester is asking about monkeys, after all, while Toby is for some reason eating crackers in what we assume is a pretty hot climate.

In the end, we do find this scene worthy of a laugh or two, and part of the fun of having Porter on the show could be that it is a chance to see the team more from the window of an outsider. It’s similar in some ways to the early days of the show, when Paige was on the outside looking in to a certain extent. There’s no guarantee that Armstrong will be around permanently; as a matter of fact, all we know for now is that he will be appearing in at least a couple of episodes.

We should have another sneak peek up soon before this episode airs, and hopefully through that we’ll have some further insight into what is really going on this time around.
