‘The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story’ episode 8 preview: ‘A Jury in Jail’

People -

What happens when the power shifts over to the jury on “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story“? Based on some of what we’re seeing in the synopsis below for next week’s new episode (and also the title “A Jury in Jail”), it definitely looks as though there are some hard times ahead:

“Months into the trial, cut off from their families, society and the media, the jurors grow stir crazy and start becoming unlikely targets for the prosecution and the defense. Meanwhile, the country gets an introduction to the science of DNA evidence. Directed by Anthony Hemingway.”

We can only imagine how difficult this had to be at times for some of the jurors during the trial, especially since even whey did get out of their deliberations, they were still chased by the media for comments and information. There really was not any refuge for them at all, even if they tried to get away from the firestorm. The question that we’re wondering right now is just if the reemergence of the case thanks to this series ends up creating some more trouble for some of them. We’re sure there are some of them who are publicity-seeking, but not all of them are.

We’ll have some more information on this upcoming episode over time, but it feels pretty much like a sure thing like the prosecution is going to be pins and needles as they try to recover from glove-gate, something that Christopher Darden at one point was certain would be a slam dunk.
