Chris Noth finds first post-‘The Good Wife’ series in ‘Tyrant’

With the news still reasonably fresh that “The Good Wife” is ending after the upcoming seventh season, it only makes some sense that some of the show’s stars would manage to find some work elsewhere.

Today, it was announced that Chris Noth has joined the upcoming third season of “Tyrant” on FX, and will even be a series regular in the role of a U.S. General. The interesting part of this story to us is mostly the fact that Noth was never actually a regular on “The Good Wife” at any point during its run. Instead, he played the part of Alicia’s husband / Governor Peter Florrick on a recurring basis, turning up at a variety of points over the course of the show’s run.

“Tyrant” will be premiering later this year on FX, which means that you won’t have to wait much time to see it on the air. It will come as a nice change-up for the actor, who is also best known for playing “Mr. Big” on the “Sex and the City” franchise. Hopefully, this casting also brings this show a little more attention, given that “Tyrant” is at the moment one of the more under-the-radar series that the network has on the air.
