Mike Colter reveals Netflix’s ‘Luke Cage’ premiere date

For everyone out there who is not satisfied enough by “Daredevil” season 2 premiering on Netflix in one week’s time, how about this for some other good news: We now know a little bit more in regards to when the next edition of the Netflix – Marvel pantheon is going to premiere!

While speaking at the “Daredevil” premiere event earlier this week to the show’s official Facebook, Mike Colter himself claimed that September 30 is going to be the official start date … which excites us greatly, given that it is a little bit earlier than we anticipated the show premiering. We thought it would follow more of the “Jessica Jones” timeline, which means that we would’ve seen it a little bit later in the fall.

We would hope that we would see at least a small appearance from Jessica Jones herself in the series, but the good thing about this show is that Marvel and Netflix have been so tight-lipped about it that we really do not have a whole lot of information at all about what is coming up. All we really know for certain is that this will help to lead into the ultimate launch of “The Defenders,” the new and super-ambitious series that will also feature Iron Fist, who was recently cast with Finn Jones of “Game of Thrones” playing the role.

If you’re wanting to check out some other coverage of “Daredevil” season 2, have no fear: We’re going to have a heck of a lot of that coming up over the course of the month!
