‘Major Crimes’ season 4, episode 22 review: Still searching for a main suspect

On Monday night’s new episode of “Major Crimes,” we saw Sharon Raydor presented with a big opportunity, but when the dust settled, she decided that it was one not worth taking. This was a way for the show to have ended the show had they really wanted to, or at least set that up for the finale. Luckily, that’s not happening, which is mostly just great news since we want to see the team intact for one more season (if not more).

While the majority of the episode did revolve around the continuation of the “Hindsight” arc, we enjoyed some of the more personal moments tonight with Sharon and Andy. After all, it’s been harder to focus on these at times in this arc. This is one of the reasons why the Rusty arc has been a little bit of a letdown the past few weeks; we really haven’t had enough time to devote to it.

In hoping to get something further from the Price brothers the two had a meeting set up, only for the Reverend to say in the closing minutes of the hour that he did not have anything to hide.

Obviously, Hickman is also becoming more and more of a thorn in the side of Major Crimes / potentially a guilty party. Sharon specifically referenced that she couldn’t separate herself from this job because of people like him.

As we are staring the finale in the face, we still don’t know for sure the killer; while it’s hard to say that the past few episodes have been perfect, we give so much respect to this show for being willing to put itself out there and do something that is so distinctive from anything they have in the past. Episode Grade: B.
