‘Prison Break’ revival spoilers: ‘Royal Pains’ star Mark Feuerstein checks in

With it looking more and more like “Royal Pains” is going to end with the upcoming eighth season, Mark Feuerstein has been a rather hot commodity in pilot season. Where has he ended up? Well, it’s a show in “Prison Break” that already has quite a bit of star power.

The actor is set to be joining the series as a powerful man named Scott Ness, and he is the new husband of Sarah Wayne Callies’ character Sara. As TVLine notes, there is nothing necessarily set in stone as of yet for Callies to return, but there are talks happening and we would personally assume that a deal will get done in due time. The revival is set to last just nine episodes, which is enough time for it to work within the schedules of stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller, who are both a part of the DC Universe on The CW with “Legends of Tomorrow.”

As for the precise timing of the revival, that’s still something we’re trying to wrap our head around. We know what happened to Miller’s Michael at the end of “The Final Break,” and that cannot be particularly ignored. We’ve heard about some jumps around in time, but nothing is altogether confirmed. All we know is that this is a great chance for some longtime “Prison Break” fans to get precisely what they’ve been wanting. Given the success of the “X-Files” reboot that is airing at the moment on Fox, we feel like they are more than excited to see what this show does.
