‘The Fall’ season 3 debate: When could new teaser for Jamie Dornan – Gillian Anderson series arrive?
If you’re excited for the third season of “The Fall,” then you better believe that we’re right there with you! This show has been off of the air now for more than a year, and production is still going strong in Belfast for what will be the final episodes to air in the UK and Ireland. (The show will likely come to Netflix in America at least a few weeks after it finishes its run elsewhere.)
So with filming underway, is it fair to start speculating as to when the show could air its first teaser? We like to think so, given that there is more anticipation for the series than ever before. While season 2 debuted after the news broke that Jamie Dornan was going to be in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” it has not aired since the movie premiered and he may have more star power as a result of that. Not only that, but Gillian Anderson has been more omnipresent than ever before thanks to “The X-Files” premiering on the air. This could mean larger ratings for the show, and more anticipation around a teaser.
With everything in mind, we now present to you what we think to be the right time for a teaser to debut: Late spring / early summer. This is just our own speculation, but if you want the show to launch in either late summer / the actual fall, you want to give people a little bit of time to be excited. Our real hope is that we don’t get the thing where we are forced to wait until a week or two before the show premieres to get any video footage. The BBC does have a history of that.
Whenever the first teaser does premiere, you better believe we’ll have it for you here. (We’re not considering the old footage of the show that aired in the recent BBC highlights video as anything.)
