‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Does Lauren Bushnell, Ben Higgins’ hometown date go off without a hitch?

When ABC aired their epic preview for Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelor,” we saw a good bit of drama associated with the dates that JoJo Fletcher and Amanda Stanton were going to have with Ben Higgins. In comparison to that, it felt almost like the other dates could be rather tame.

Is that turning out to be the case with Ben and one of his current favorites in Lauren Bushnell? While it may be wrong to speculate too much on an individual synopsis, it does make it look as though this is going to be similar to so many other dates we have seen over the years:

“Lauren B. share a wonderful, fun-filled afternoon of sightseeing, visiting local food trucks and grabbing a drink at a genuine whiskey museum. Later on, Ben gets emotional as he is confronted with serious questions from her sister. She is worried about how deep his feelings can be when there are still three other women in the picture.”

We feel like there are two interesting things that the show really should be pointing out right now:

1. Isn’t Lauren the only Luaren still here? What’s the point of the “B” anymore? It’s almost awkward since there’s really no point in it anymore?

2. A common rule of thumb with this franchise is that if something crazy happens, the show will put a giant neon sign above it and show it as many different times as possible. Based on this synopsis, there’s probably nothing too interesting that comes out of this date and Ben and Lauren will emerge from it just fine.
