‘The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story’ episode 4 preview: Is Faye Resnick about to complicate things?

People -

Here is something that we did not see coming: An article where we could talk about the crossover between “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story” and this season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Strangely, both have episodes this year that have to do with a book written by Faye Resnick, who could end up causing all sorts of problems for almost everyone involved in the case.

You can see some of Faye’s actions spelled out in the attached synopsis, but some of the focus is almost all about how Johnnie Cochran figures out a way to use some of his unique skills to start to figure out the right way to convince a jury as to what to believe:

“Johnnie Cochran (Courtney B. Vance) brings an energy that transforms the case. As jury selection gets underway, the prosecution and defense seek out the assistance of jury research experts, who come back with some surprising results. Meanwhile, Faye Resnick (Connie Britton) publishes a tell-all book, complicating the court proceedings.”

We figure that one of the things that the show is really going to excel at more than anything is the courtroom drama. Right now, the writing is at somewhat of a disadvantage in that we consider this to be one of the least suspenseful parts of the case. After all, the White Bronco chase has already come to a close, and many of the events that people remember are those that take place in front of the jury. This is something we will have a chance to discuss further in the weeks ahead.
