‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3: First details on midseason premiere!

March 8 has been a rather long time to wait for more of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” but at least we’re not just 31 days away! (Not that we’re keeping track or anything.)

When the show does return, it will be doing so with an hour entitled “Bouncing Back,” and based on most early indications, the story will be by and large about just that. how do you establish normalcy after going through what happened on Maveth? Coulson thinks that he killed Grant Ward, and for the time being SHIELD seems to think that they have the upper hand. It’s unfortunate for them that they are going to realize soon that they are not anywhere near as stable a place as they thought.

The synopsis below (via Entertainment Weekly) does not mention the arrival of Ward 3.0, though, so maybe the cast will at least have some time away from him before they realize that the Beast is out there:

“In the aftermath of his trip to Maveth, Coulson is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick and put an end to Hydra once and for all. Daisy and the team encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they’ve never seen before, but will they be friends or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.?”

Yes, that part of the synopsis with Daisy should mak you think about the Secret Warriors. As a matter of fact, we have to assume that this is why it was included! ABC has kept us waiting on that story ever since it was first suggested that it could be rearing its head. Finally, it’s time to bring this particular story to life.
