‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spin-off lands first outside cast member

Bobbi -To date, the only thing that we have known about the “Marvel’s Most Wanted” spin-off coming to ABC is that two of its stars would be Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood from “Agents of SHIELD.” Luckily, some of that is changing today courtesy of the news that is coming out.

Sources confirm that fresh off of his turn on the recently-canceled (not officially, but you get the gist) “Blood & Oil,” Delroy Lindo is going to play an important part of this spin-off pilot as Dominic Fortune, a world-traveling and comic-book staple who is a master at finding fame and (of course) fortune for himself. It feels like this show is assembling something close to a rogues’ gallery of interesting people, and more will likely come in the weeks ahead.

As for why ABC feels like they need another Marvel show, that is clearly a good question right now. “Agents of SHIELD” is hardly lighting the ratings world on fire Tuesday nights, and “Agent Carter” is doing worse. We hate to say it in some ways, but our primary fear at the moment is that the Hayley Atwell series is going to find itself canceled while “Most Wanted” takes its spot on Tuesday nights while “SHIELD” is on hiatus. This is something that we’ll probably get a little bit more into as we start to write more ratings articles a little later this season.

For now, let’s just say that we’re interested to see if “Most Wanted” proves itself to be an action-packed caper series, or if it suffers from a problem of having a little too much going on and lead characters we don’t know a lot about.
