‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Does latest episode title offer glimmer of hope?

For those of you who are eternal optimists, we understand you feeling a little down right now about “Arrow.” Remember that talk-of-sorts about there being a lighter tone this season? Well, nobody said that this was going to be permanent, did they?

Maybe there is still something to have a little bit of hope about on the show moving forward … with the emphasis on the word “maybe.” According to Charlotte Ross (who plays Donna Smoak, and posted an image on her Facebook), the upcoming 17th episode of season 4 is going to be titled “Beacon of Hope.” If there was ever a reason to be happy about a title, this is it. Don’t we need a little bit of hope in Star City?

Well, the unfortunate thing is that sometimes, these titles can be misleading, and we definitely expect that this could be the case here. While there may be a reason or two to be hopeful that Oliver and Felicity can figure things out in the flash-forward, for example, it doesn’t seem like that’s coming anytime soon. Meanwhile, it also doesn’t feel like taking out Damien Darhk will be an action that happens until the end of the season. We are very curious to see what this “beacon” is … though we do figure that we will be waiting for quite a long time still to figure it out, since this episode is several weeks still in the future. (There are 23 episodes in the season as a whole.)
