‘Castle’ season 8, episode 10: Nathan Fillion’s Rick heads to court!
Odds are if you’re a diehard “Castle” fan, you may have already heard a thing or two about the upcoming February 14 episode “Witness for the Prosecution,” with the first notable thing being the premiere day. This “Castle” installment is airing on a Sunday following a two-hour “Bachelor” special, and is basically ABC’s way of making it up to you that season 8 is returning one week later than eventually promised on February 8. This is the second of three episodes that will be airing over the course of eight days, meaning once more that there is a lot to look forward to.
The synopsis for “Witness” can be found below, even though much of it is information that you have already heard about in other places:
“Castle finally gets his day in court when he takes the stand as the key witness to a murder from five months ago. But when new information suddenly arises, he and Beckett must race against the clock to prevent a miscarriage of justice.”
This is one of the first times that we’ve gotten to see Nathan Fillion play Castle in this setting, and our mental picture for it is hysterical at the moment. We are dealing with someone here who has shown time and time again a flair for the dramatic, and with that you have to imagine he will love the idea of stepping out and creating some sort of theatrical spectacle in front of the jury. His idea of preparation is probably watching a lot of old court TV shows, which should give further credence to the notion that this is going to be fun.
