‘The X-Files’ season 10, episode 3 preview: ‘Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster’

While we have been excited for every episode of “The X-Files” to date, we have to say that we are EXCITED for the next new episode of the show entitled “Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster.” Why is that? Let us count the ways! It’s a classic monster-of-the-week episode, buzz is tremendous all around it, and it has two of our favorite funny-people out there in Kumail Nanjiani and Rhys Darby each guest-starring.

As for what the story itself is about, the synopsis below makes it clear that you’re going to see what appears on the surface to be something straight out of any creature feature you’ll find:

“When a dead body is found in the woods, Mulder and Scully are called in to investigate whether it was an animal attack, a serial killer or just maybe a strange creature as described by eyewitnesses. Meanwhile, Mulder is able to confront some of his own demons about feeling disillusioned with his life’s work.”

As any “X-Files” fan knows, though, this is more or less merely a guideline. What matters the most is where the show decides to go following the attack in the woods, and knowing what we do about this show, we have to think that it will venture into some pretty weird, dramatic, and interesting places.  Also, there has to be a little bit of humor in here when you take a look at some of the people taking part. Fingers crossed for a classic.
