‘The Flash’ season 2 star Grant Gustin supports upcoming ‘Flash’ film star Ezra Miller
So following these said rumors, Gustin posted a lengthy message on Twitter saying that he supports Miller 100% in his upcoming feature film efforts, and says that the only thing that he ever did for gossip to start was favorite some tweets from fans who wanted to see him in a movie. He says that he even hates having to even address such a topic, and we’re sure that this is a true since it also turns the rumors into a story in their own right.
Of course, we’d say that in a vacuum we would love to see Gustin star in a “Flash” film, but we’re actually glad that this is not happening. Why is that? It’s all because if he were to do a movie, Grant would probably lose the majority of a year in his schedule, which is the time that it would take for him to do a full season of “The Flash.” Personally, we’ll take 23 episodes of the show over getting to see a movie that runs a little over two hours, especially with the special-effects team the show has in place. This isn’t meant to be any slam against the DC movies; they’re great in their own right, but this is one of those cases where having a TV and a movie version makes sense. Fans of each entity can get what they want without waiting.
Ultimately, our primary concern is still that the movies aren’t letting the majority of their characters on The CW. Why do that? Can’t both versions be great and not competitive?
