‘Saturday Night Live’ with Adam Driver delayed thanks to NFL playoffs
For everyone looking for “Saturday Night Live” with Adam Driver on TV tonight, you’re going to see it … at least in due time.
Thanks to the NFL playoffs airing on NBC on Saturday night (what a crazy game that is), there is a little bit of a delay going on in New York. You’ll be seeing the show soon, though, and we’ll give you all sorts of highlights all about that. The great news for the show is that as a result of this wait, this could be the highest-rated episode of the show in quite a long time. That has to be great news for the show.
Do we think the show will even reference what is now the Arizona Cardinals’ victory over the Green Bay Packers in overtime? We have a hard time imagining so, if for no other reason than that it’s not like it is going to delay it for a long time. (Turns out we were wrong with that guess.) When the game went into overtime, we started writing this article thinking that it would cause a massive delay. However, football came to a close at 11:39 p.m. Eastern time. Granted, we do still have to get through postgame coverage and the like.
Update: It’s 11:50. Getting the local news here.
Update: It’s now 12:04. The things we go through for comedy! We’ve been trying to pretend that this is a really long sketch.
The show finally started at around 12:15 a.m. Eastern time, which means we’re in for a far later night than usual. We’ll still be around with coverage.
