‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: Carrie Preston returning as Elsbeth
Given that “The Good Wife” will be losing creators Robert and Michelle King as showrunners at the end of the season regardless of if it comes to an end, don’t you want to see as many different recurring characters from the past back as possible? We think so.
While promoting her upcoming new comedy “Crowded” for NBC while at the TCA Winter Press Tour this week, Carrie Preston confirmed that she has filmed an additional episode of the CBS drama as her ever-popular character of Elsbeth. The circumstances surrounding her return are still not entirely clear, but we don’t care about that so much as just the fact that she is back. We’ve already seen plenty of Michael J. Fox as Louis Canning this season, so he is another popular character we’ve already seen, as well.
Now as for the show’s long-term future, we just hope that CBS makes up their mind on a season before we get around to March. If this is going to be the end of the road for this show (and we almost would prefer that without the Kings on board in a big way), we hope that all parties involved figure out a way in order to ensure that there is some sort of proper ending … and we get a chance to see as many loose ends as possible tied up.
With that in mind, we have one humble request: Can we at least get some sort of flashback sequence featuring Josh Charles? Is that too much?
