‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9 spoilers: Sheldon gets sick, chaos ensues

There are fewer things on “The Big Bang Theory” that are harder to deal with than a sick Sheldon Cooper, and this is precisely what the rest of the gang is going to be dealing with on Thursday night’s new episode … at least for a little while. By the time we get to the end of this episode (entitled “The Empathy Optimization”), they may find an easier way to handle all of these problems.

Before we make it to the end of this particular episode, we imagine plenty of complaining will ensue. The larger question to us is how Amy is going to handle having to care for her boyfriend. He’s certainly done more for her to show that he cares as of late, but at the same time is that going to be enough so that she can handle his sick histrionics? Dealing with Sheldon at times requires a particular mount of patience, and that is not something that we’ve seen many characters on this series be able to handle over time. More often than not, they all end up caving.
