‘Shark Tank’ video: Can Hungry Harvest make the Sharks a little hungry?

Shark Tank -There is a lot to like from Hungry Harvest, which is one of many companies appearing in Friday night’s all-new episode of “Shark Tank.” For one, it’s just the nature of what they stand for: They are a subscription-model company who makes it their goal to give back to disadvantaged families through every purchase, while also reducing food waste and also providing something that many people want: Produce at a decent price, sent right to their door every week.

As the video below from the episode explains, their goal is to basically take many “ugly” fruits and vegetables, which are perfectly fine but not in demand at any major grocery chain, and send them to customers. This keeps them from ending up in landfills, and you know by signing up with them that you are going to get quality goods. It’s a pretty brilliant idea, mostly because we spend so much time at the store picking through various fruits and vegetables. It’s a time-saver and something that makes you feel like you are doing good for others. That’s a big thing in the modern-day consumer market.

Of course, Kevin O’Leary is probably going to point out via some sort of stern reminder that this is not a charity, and as a result of that, there still needs to be sales and a plan that shows that everyone can make plenty of money. We still need to learn more about what that is before proclaiming this company tailor-made for a deal.

For now, we do at least think that they have the right sort of business to be Shark bait, and it is something that many consumers out there would like.
