‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 spoilers: Crystal Reed to return (but not as Allison)

Crystal Reed was an integral part of the “Teen Wolf” family for many years, and the great news that we’re here to report today is that she’s coming back! Unfortunately, the bad news is that this does not mean the same for her deceased character of Allison Argent.

As first reported by BuzzFeed, you are going to see Reed moving forward on the upcoming episode “The Maid of Gévaudan,” which is going to take you back to 18th-century France. There, you will get a chance to meet one of the earliest members of the Argent family line in Marie-Jeanne Valet, who just so happens to be played by Reed. This move certainly feels a lot like Nina Dobrev’s many roles on “The Vampire Diaries,” and it’s a smart one for “Teen Wolf” to make. If Reed was interested in a return, why not jump all over that? It’s a chance to bring the show more attention, especially with fans of the first few seasons who may have lost interest after Allison died.

As for why we are getting to see this particular flashback now, our feeling is to get further information / insight on the Beast, the Big Bad of the season and someone who should clearly be feared by Scott McCall and the rest of the pack. We’ve really only scratched the surface so far of just what this character is capable of.
