‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2 spoilers: Prepare for more Eve, Wes backstory
While over a month may have passed between now and the winter finale of ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder,” we have a hard time imagining that anyone out there has really forgotten much of what happened. After encouraging Wes to shoot her in the leg, Annalise found herself on the receiving end of a bullet that was actually intended to kill her. Why? She had goaded Wes into making the act by revealing that Rebecca was dead.
As if that was not enough drama for all of you, remember that Annalise uttered one word for Wes’ past as she laid in a pool of her own blood: His former name. Thanks to this, you can be assured that we’re going to dive much more into his past in the final six episodes than we have so far. TV Guide reports that this means much more of Famke Janssen as Eve, and showrunner Pete Nowalk also added the following:
“[Wes] has a lot of questions for her. I think he’s probably full of guilt for what he did … All the rules have changed. I don’t think she’s gonna be able to deal with him in the same way anymore or wants to.”
The thing is here that there is going to be enough guilt to go around in this situation. Wes is obviously going to feel a great deal of pain for shooting someone who has some key information about his past, but at the same time, Annalise has to live with the fact that she is the reason this pain exists. It’s an interesting back-and-forth, and something that will provide these two with great material for quite some time.
