‘Scorpion’ season 2, episode 13 video: New Year’s resolutions and plenty of humor

While we know that there is going to be an important mission at the center of Monday night’s “Scorpion” winter premiere focusing on an expedition to Antarctica, the focus in the new sneak peek below is really on fun first and foremost.

Specifically, New Year’s resolutions are the name of the game, and there is plenty of skepticism surrounding them … even if we have a few characters who are legitimately doing everything that they can in an effort to get better. Happy in particular is looking to take on a personality that is a little less cynical and more in line with her nickname, while Cabe is challenged to actually give up coffee, something that he claims he can do without much trouble.

This is where we imagine that much of the comedy is going to come from. We all know that Cabe is a pretty tough fellow, but at the same time, there’s a pretty drastic difference between saying that you can do something and then actually managing to do it. We feel like this will prove itself to be so much more challenging than he imagines, and we’re going to have a lot of fun watching Robert Patrick in these scenes.

In the end, maybe a few members of the team will be able to actually make good on some of their resolutions … but we also love the characters very much as they are. If they were to change too much, then we wouldn’t even recognize them for who they are.
