‘The Fall’ season 3: Are Jamie Dornan, cast off for Christmas?

FallIt was just earlier this month that “The Fall” really seemed to get things going in production for the third season, but now they are getting a little bit of a much-needed break for the holidays.

As a local report from Belfast Live points out, star Jamie Dornan (Paul) has been spotted flying out of the city, and we have to presume the rest of the cast has a little bit of time off, as well. Filming for the season will probably resume in January, and continue moving into the first couple of months of the year. Dornan Gillian Anderson have a lot to live up to following two excellent seasons, and they have to continue to figure out ways to make this twisted story as intense as possible.

One part of this that we find extremely fascinating that we have not really touched on just yet is the psychology that could go behind saving Paul, something that may have to happen given that the character was shot at the end of season 2. Here you have this terrible killer, and yet someone is probably going to feel ethically responsible for saving his life. If you help him, then you are increasing the odds down the road that he commits other crimes. However, if you allow him to die, then that blood is on your hands. We feel for any character who is put into that position.

These episodes will probably premiere at some point later in 2016; unfortunately, we’re a long ways away from any firm announcement coming on that subject.
