ABC to air Captain America special before ‘Agent Carter’ season 2 premiere with Hayley Atwell, others
The second season of “Agent Carter” is going to air on ABC on Tuesday, January 19 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, but before that comes on the air we’re now pleased to report that you can expect to see something else that should appeal very much to the Marvel faithful: A special all about the history of Captain America!
This particular special is entitled ““Marvel’s Captain America: 75 Heroic Years,” and will look back at the history of the iconic character featured in many Marvel comics and films including the upcoming “Civil War.” Here is how the comic company themselves describe the special in a statement:
“This special one-hour event follows the history of Captain America from 1941 to present and explores how the character has been a reflection of the changing times and the world he has existed in throughout the years. Fans will hear from various Marvel luminaries including Stan Lee, Joe Quesada, Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Jeph Loeb, Louis D’Esposito, Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell, as well as family members of Cap’s creators. “Marvel’s Captain America: 75 Heroic Years” will also unveil an exclusive announcement from Marvel comics.”
For anyone who loves Cap and would like to unspool more of his history, this is obviously a pretty cool opportunity to do just that. Also, “Agent Carter” fans should think fondly about how this will make the night into more of a TV event than before, and give people more opportunities to be excited about watching this … and hopefully doing so live.
