‘The X Factor’ UK: Rylan Clark denies rumors of he, Emma Willis replacing Olly Murs, Caroline Flack
Now is there a little connective tissue there? Sure, at least in that Clark was a one-time contestant on the show known for giving big, elaborate performances. However, he and Willis have a good thing going on their reality series, and we’re not sure that the tone of “Celebrity Big Brother” works for “The X Factor” as a whole. Also, we really don’t think that this show needs more than one host, which is why we have never been all that fond of Olly Murs and Caroline Flack. While they are good individually, their banter and teleprompter reading feels very forced and scripted. We’d rather one of them just have the time, and leave the other to go do something else.
Well, Rylan made it clear on “This Morning” that he has heard nothing about these rumors to even consider them true; not only that, but a spokesperson for the show said per the Mirror that this is not even something that they are remotely considering at the moment:
“We haven’t even started discussing next year’s series, so this is news to us. We are really pleased with Olly and Caroline’s performance and they have brought a new dynamic to the show.”
More than likely, it will be spring at the earliest before talk starts on the future of the show in a way that we can take seriously.
