DC’s ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ trailer now features more Vandal Savage, Heat Wave

With “Legends of Tomorrow” premiering on The CW January 21, the network is putting more effort than ever behind promoting the show, and that includes releasing new trailers now almost at the regular. The latest one is below, and it serves as a reminder that Vandal Savage is ultimately not going to be going anywhere in the near future.

If you saw the crossover, then you know that despite being killed be the Green Arrow, The Flash, and the rest of the newly-assembled super-team, Malcolm Merlyn seemed to give an incantation at the end of the episode to bring him back to life. As for the reason why, that’s not entirely clear. Maybe this is a case where if there is a bigger villain out there, people may not give him nearly as much attention as they would otherwise. Also, it seemed as though maybe Merlyn has a little bit more of a history with Savage than he has let on so far.

Could we have a John Barrowman cameoin the new series? Let’s hope so, given that more Barrowman is absolutely never a bad thing.

As for the rest of the trailer, you’ve got some good lines in here from Rip Hunter and Ray Palmer, and you also have more Heat Wave than we’ve seen in some time. While we’ve seen a decent amount of Wentworth Miller on “The Flash” as of late, his partner-in-crime (played by Dominic Purcell) has been a little more missing-in-action. Maybe he just had to charge up the heat gun for a few weeks.
