‘Homeland’ season 5, episode 9 preview: How much danger is Quinn in?

Can you imagine what the riots would be like in the event that “Homeland” actually killed off Peter Quinn? He’s one of the series’ most-beloved characters, and it almost goes without saying that nobody wants to see the network do away with this character.

With that being said, the writers do have to do what feels organic to their story, and for now that means having the character captured and in such a bad way that he actually refuses to drink water. This is the focal point of the sneak peek below, which features him in a far-from-perfect state. We want to think that it will take some time for him to get out of here, but if anyone is equipped to handle torture or violence, it is him. We still don’t know the full extent of what he went through on his secret operation back during the hiatus.

For those wondering what Quinn mumbles near the end of the preview, we believe it is something akin to “The drums [that] you picked up in Kosovo, [do you have] any idea what was in [them]?”. It’s a little hard to here, but it is clear that it has something to do with the chemicals. Maybe this is the beginning of Quinn’s process to try and get out of this.
