‘Quantico’ spoilers: Expect a different sort of winter finale

“Quantico” returns to ABC on Sunday night with a new episode, and as we start to get closer to the show’s midseason finale, there is one thing that it looks as though you can anticipate: Surprises, and plenty of them. The show is determined to give you a little bit of a different flavor than anything that you’ve seen so far, and it will be interesting to see some of the key characters in this sort of environment.

If you are interested in snagging some other scoop all about what is coming up in this episode, executive producer Josh Safran offers up the following to Entertainment Weekly:

“There is an exercise, but it’s not the typical exercise. The majority of the episode takes place on a night off. The fun of that episode is it’s a real taste of the real world after the NATs have been in this summer camp for as long as they’ve been. And they’re going to look amazing.”

What is rather interesting to us here is that this particular installment should do a great job of bridging the gap between the events at Quantico itself, the time when they were off in the real world, and then where they are in the flash-forwards. Granted, the NATs are not out of the woods just yet at the academy in this story, but other than the premiere there have not been many opportunities to see any of these characters in a separate timeframe. This should make for a worthy opportunity and a fun story to boot.
