‘Quantico’ episode 9 preview: Alex, Ryan clash over Liam

Is Liam leading Alex Parrish to her own doom, or is something further going on here? There are many questions at the moment when it comes to “Quantico,” and these are some of the main ones going into Sunday night’s new episode.

Specifically, the sneak peek below features Priyanka Chopra’s character and her love interest arguing over what to do with Liam, and whether or not going after him at all is the right move. The best thing that this sneak peek does is further accentuate the lack of trust between virtually all of the characters, which is something that effectively only adds to the intrigue.

As for the downside, this sneak peek does serve as a little bit of a further reminder of how much relationships and romance are a factor on this show, and while we understand it (people in close quarters spending time together, living what are in some ways secret lives), the show does go here much more than it has to. We feel like Ryan and Alex would be much more interesting had they not hooked up before even getting to Quantico, especially since there would be even more cards on the table for the two of them.

Given that we are getting close now to the winter finale, we’d say to expect a few surprises to surface when it comes to these characters in the near future. As for whether or not it could add another layer of jeopardy to their relationship, that very much remains to be seen.
