‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Bombas socks, Sleeping Baby, Hammer & Nails, Amber
Bombas – To date, we consider this probably in at least the top 20 products ever on the show, if not higher. Why? It’s one of the few that we actually hear people talk about away from the show! They’re high-performance socks, and the company’s social message to help the homeless makes people feel good about buying them. Since the show what they’ve really done a great job of with Daymond John is getting the word out.
Sleeping Baby – When we’ve written about them previously, it’s mostly been through the lens of their Zipadee-Zip product for infants. Since that time, they’ve expanded really well to include a variety of other products designed to create a quality sleeping environment for your child, and also a hassle-free one for parents. Any business should want expansion, and kudos to this company for just that.
Hammer & Nails – They still seem to be hammering away at their nail salon for men, though there isn’t really much in the way of expansion yet in the way that was hyped on the show. There’s value in having good nails as a guy, so it’s at least still worthwhile if you live in the Los Angeles area.
Amber charging station – Given that there is almost no updated information about this product out there at this point, we don’t really have anything good to say here. Their Twitter has not been updated since February, and while we liked the idea of a charging station for people on the go, we feel like Starbucks in particular already has an alternative that is even more convenient for people with smartphones.
