‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 9 preview: Alicia, Jason, and concerns in ‘Discovery’

On Sunday night’s new episode of “The Good Wife,” the story for the most part revolved around Diane Lockhart compromising some of her own personal feelings for the benefit of free speech and the financials for her firm; as for Alicia Florrick, it was her daughter’s own financials that were taking center stage as she brought in new clients and tons of money potentially to her new firm.

So where are we going into the next new episode? Well, we’re focusing in part on what Alicia is willing to do in order to get some more high-profile cases into the firm. Let’s just say that in part, it will revolve around Michael J. Fox’s Louis Canning teaming up with her and Lucca Quinn. The synopsis below talks a little bit about that, and also a little bit of how Alicia’s new relationship with Jason Crouse is going to cause some problems for Peter’s run for higher office:

“Alicia and Lucca join forces with Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) to defend a website against an accusation of racial profiling. Also, Eli and Ruth worry about the nature of Alicia’s relationship with Jason and how it could impact Peter’s presidential campaign.”

While Alicia does a good job for the most part of keeping things private (just look at Will Gardner or Finn), there’s a difference between your husband running for Governor and your husband running for President. The national spotlight has people more or less digging and looking into virtually every little thing that you’ve ever done. This is something that in the end, both she and Peter have to prepare for.
