‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 8 preview: Diane’s story heats up (finally)
We love Christine Baranski’s performance as Diane on “The Good Wife,” but to us it feels almost like people like Ruth and even Howard Lyman have been as big of a presence this season so far as her. We know that it is a little bit harder to feature her and Cary repeatedly when they are at a separate firm than Alicia Florrick, but isn’t there a compromise that can be worked in here at some point?
Well, we can at least confirm that Diane is going to be a huge part of next week’s new episode “Restraint,” but probably not in a way that she is happy with since she is forced yet again to compromise some of her beliefs for a case. She’s already had to do this on one occasion this season, and sooner or later we imagine her hitting a tipping point.
Meanwhile, the synopsis below gives you a little more information in regards to what Alicia and Lucca, who also had a relatively-quiet night this time thanks to Alicia having to focus on so much Peter drama, are going to be up to in an attempt to secure some more clients:
“Diane is personally conflicted when she is forced to argue a heated case between pro-choice and pro-life advocates in order to retain an important client, represented by attorney Ethan Carver (Peter Gallagher). Also, Alicia and Lucca are desperate for new business and attempt to poach clients from Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox).”
