‘Quantico’ episode 7 review: A shootout and a search for answers
We are now seven episodes into the first season of “Quantico,” and we really are starting to wish that there are more answers than what we have. Basically, what we’ve figured out is that Alex is probably innocent of any wrongdoing in the attack of New York, and so are many other characters that we’ve seen in the future.
Tonight’s new episode was an attempt to figure out whether or not the twins Raina and Nimah were guilty of being behind the attack thanks to some security footage. The reality here, however, is that they were a part of a different undercover operation involving a terrorist group, but one probably not related to what happened that Alex is being accused of. Speaking of which, could the FBI actually look any more inept in their attempts to track down Alex once and for all? There were some moments in here that were quite frankly stunning when it comes to how terrible the group has been, in particular Nathalie letting her practically crawl away.
In other news, Ryan got shoot again. The man is the equivalent of the Black Knight from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.”
In jumping back into a time machine to Quantico and beyond, we learned more tonight about Caleb finally finding some good fortune for himself, a test that pushed many of the NATs completely to the brink, and also a pretty crushing scene between Simon and Elias. This episode started to make us care about some of the characters other than Alex, and it started to make Quantico itself matter again. This is something that has been missing the past few installments. Grade: B.
