Donald Trump nixed ‘Saturday Night Live’ sketches; security on high alert

SNL -When this weekend’s new episode of “Saturday Night Live” airs with host Donald Trump, there are going to be a variety of things that are rather different between it and past installments … and it goes far beyond just the host himself. It also regards the content.

Speaking to Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly in an interview this week, the business mogul / Presidential candidate made it clear that he specifically nixed several sketch ideas from the writers, thinking that they were going to be too risque to voters in Iowa. Trump is fighting an intense battle in the state with Ben Carson, and given this is one of the early prizes for the Republican Presidential ticket, he does not want to do anything to jeopardize their faith in him.

Also, The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that there will be added security in the building this weekend, in particular since there are protest groups and people even offering up money to heckle Trump during the show, knowing that there will be probably a larger-than-usual audience watching to see what happens. We wouldn’t be shocked if someone comes in to try to make their voice heard, and hey, it’s America. They can do that, provided of course that they face whatever consequences come with it like being thrown out of the studio or face other action.

In the end, we’re expecting a rowdy show tonight. We’re going to be around to discuss every sketch live, and then on Tuesday we will be joining forces with one of our podcast collaborators in Jason Prager to discuss all of this in a video form.
