‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7, episode 6 preview: Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and the new plan

Damon -

There is a good reason why the next new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” is entitled “Best Served Cold”: This is a revenge story, and at the center of it will be none other than Damon and Stefan Salvatore. The two brothers are going to be at times working together, and at times clashing over how to take on the biggest change in their collective lives over the past few weeks: The arrival of Julian into their world. This is someone who has a history of a certain manner of behavior, and at this point, it feels almost like a given that he is someone that the brothers would be wary of.

For Damon, it’s more than that. He wants to punish his mother, and feels like the best way to effectively do that is by stomping all over the one thing that she holds dear. Will Stefan agree? That remains to be seen, but the synopsis below gives you insight both on this and a complicated dinner party that allows for a variety of surprises to take hold:

“After being reunited with her former love Julian (guest star Todd Lasance), Lily (guest star Annie Wersching) hosts a dinner party to introduce him to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) and to declare peace between her family of Heretics and the residents of Mystic Falls. Damon and Stefan find themselves at an impasse when they realize they have differing views on how to handle Julian’s arrival. At the party, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Matt (Zach Roerig) uncover a strange mystery involving some unsuspecting residents, while a devastating revelation causes Alaric (Matt Davis) to reach his breaking point. Candice King and Michael Malarkey also star.”

Let’s just hope that Alaric’s breaking point does not involve him further suffering over the notion that Jo is not really Jo at all. Hasn’t he been through enough?
