‘Homeland’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Tension grows between Carrie, Saul

HomelandSo far, “Homeland” season 5 has been on a thrill ride in many forms, and based on what we are seeing now, the safe thing to say is that this is only going to keep continuing for a little while longer. How else do you explain Carrie’s new undercover wig?

This new episode is going to feature Carrie in need of a little bit of an assist, which is something that is proven further by the extremely-short synopsis that was already released by Showtime: “Saul orders a sweep at the station. Carrie looks to Düring for support.”

The problems for Carrie and Saul are only going to escalate, judging from the promo below. She is still interested in seemingly seeking out a little bit of support from him, but at the same exact time, he is not altogether interested in biting on that. The conflicted relationship between these two characters is something that we have to imagine is only going to continue to unfold throughout the rest of this season, but sooner or later they probably do need to realize that rather than continuing to fight and suffer through their history, they need each other. The show, and them as people, are better for it.

For those curious, don’t worry: You are also going to have plenty of chances in this episode to see Quinn kick some butt and takes some names. Would it really be that much of a show without it?
