Why is ‘Scream Queens’ season 1, episode 7 (plus Ariana Grande’s return) delayed?

For everyone waiting to see “Scream Queens” on Fox Tuesday night, we understand feeling at the moment somewhat disappointed. There is no new episode on Tuesday, and that has to be somewhat disappointing for all of you hoping to see Ariana Grande back as Chanel #2 and all of the other crazy stuff that has been teased.

Of course, there is a pretty simple reason for the show not being on the air: The World Series. Game 1 is currently airing on Fox, and that has thrown their entire programming schedule into a bit of a tizzy. Many shows are going to be either preempted or delayed because of the game, and there are also a variety of dates listed as tentative for now until we know how long the game lasts.

So what we can at least give some of you who are excited to see this episode, at least if you have not seen it already, is the official synopsis:

“Dean Munsch is left in a desperate situation when a shocking event leads her to come face-to-face with her ex-husband’s mistress. Meanwhile, in an attempt to determine who the Red Devil killer is, the Kappas use a Ouija board to communicate with Chanel #2 from beyond the grave and learn of a wicked plot against one of their own.”

You have to expect a few little delays here and there for the rest of “Scream Queens” this season, thanks mostly to the show facing such things as the holidays in December. The biggest disappointment about there being no new episode Tuesday is that it is the perfect show to celebrate Halloween with.
