‘Faking It’ season 2 finale spoilers: What comes after the kiss?

Obviously, it is fair to say that Monday night provided us with a game-changing moment on “Faking It,” and also one that many fans have been wanting to see at the same exact time: Karma and Amy finally kissing in a way that wasn’t just pretend for one of them.

As a result of that, you have to think that the relationship will change … but there is no guarantee just yet that we’re going to be seeing them get together. The promo that aired following Monday night’s episode showed the two parties in a precarious position of trying to sort through their feelings while preoccupied with a variety of other topics. We do think that it will be discussed at some point, but we’re not entirely sure that they end this season a couple.

Should the writers consider pairing them up officially? Sure, but this will-they-or-won’t-they struggle is at the heart of almost every series. Just look at Jenna and Matty over on the sister show in “Awkward.” We’re going to get a chance very soon to see what happens here, but we hope the show doesn’t wait too much longer. There’s a lot of great story to be mined potentially from Amy and Karma having a real relationship, overcoming their insecurities, and handling what other people will think. For the most part, it already feels like they have a lot of support around them. That’s what happens when you pretend to come out at one point: People start to become used to the idea.
